Using common phrases like “to sum up” or “in conclusion” which makes your writing sound weak.
Introducing new evidence and information in the conclusion. This is not part of a strong conclusion – never do this. If that information did not warrant inclusion and discussion in the body of your paper, don’t cram it into the conclusion.
Undermining your own argument in the conclusion. The conclusion should be where you reinforce the persuasiveness of your thesis by summarizing the strengths of your key arguments.

Once you have published your own conclusion, share the conclusion in the forum for other students to read and reflect on. Your introduction should be shared as your initial forum post and not attached as a separate document. At this point, your introduction is simply a publish and it should be further revised and edited before submission, so don’t feel like you must share what will be your final polished conclusion. You should not, however, take this as an opportunity to share a poorly conceived, rushed, ‘placeholder’ conclusion. It must be a serious publish of your developing conclusion.
