For this assignment, you need to choose a criminal justice topic and use at least 5 sources of the 10 listed in your research proposal guidelines (peer reviewed journal articles, books, book chapters, government reports, and trade publications only) and develop a short outline on a paper you could write on the topic using those sources. The topic you plan to cover for your research proposal is what you should be working on with these exercises as well (from the choice of 3 listed in the Research Proposal area in Course Materials); that way the outline and all of the other products of this assignment will truly be useful to you.
The outline counts as X5. You will complete a bibliography conforming with APA style (use the APA quick guide – also attached here and in course references within Content as well) for X6. For X7 you will complete an annotated bibliography. You can take the reference from X6 to start out your page. Then provide a paragraph or bullet points highlighting the main points of the source that apply to your topic. You do NOT have to give a summary of the resource, just think of what you would use for your paper and include that. Give each source it’s own sheet of paper, so each new source will start on a fresh sheet. There should be at least 5 pages for X7. X8 is a combination of X5 and X6 using the information you gained about your sources in X7. In X8 you want to think about which sources will assist you for each different part of your outline. Remember, one source could assist you in all parts of the outline so you could list it multiple times.
When you have completed X5-X8 you should put them all in one document to submit to the Dropbox link associated with this assignment. This assignment is due by 11:59pm on 9/25.
